An instructor from Tokyo Design Academy gave our students a lecture on “COOL JAPAN.”
We learned that one of the unique characteristics of Japanese culture is a good mixture of heterogeneous elements like “High quality⇔Cheap,” “Modern⇔Traditional,” ”Hard⇔Cute,” which is the essence of “COOL JAPAN.”
The students were nodding frequently. It may be because they are living in Japan now and realize that is true.
