Although it differs between each university, at the earliest the distribution of “Admissions Information” begins in July at the earliest. At Meros, usually teachers ask universities for the lists. There are two types of documents that must be submitted. One is prepared in Japan and the other one in your country.
Documents which should be made in your country : A Graduation Certificate, A School Transcript, A Letter of Recommendation, etc. of your alma mater
The student who has graduated from university basically needs documents from both their high school and university. The academic transcription is required each school year. If the documents are written in a language other than Japanese, a translation may need to be submitted with the original.
Documents which should be made in Japan : A certification of attendance and school transcript of the language school, A transcript of medical checkup, an essay of the reasons you desire to enter, A letter of recommendation ,etc .
It will take about one week to make the documents for language school. Documents are valid for only 3 months. Teachers in charge of going on to school and the homeroom teachers check the application essay and give students advice to make it better.
*Submitting the score of an English achievement test such as TOFEL and TOEIC is needed at most national and public universities and a part of prestigious universities.
We always advise students to take the examination of "Japan and the world" (for a liberal arts faculty) or science (for a physical science faculty) if they hope to enter a school of higher grade. It is because the conditions of applying differ with universities. In addition, it is necessary for the students who aim a faculty of liberal arts, humanities of private universities of the higher rank or national/public universities to take the exam of mathematics. Most universities require more than 200 score of a Japanese exam and some universities set the minimum score of "Japan and the world". Moreover, as the minimum score, some national / public universities require more than 250 score of the total of mathematics and "Japan and the world".
